Scouting the Prime Seat at a Pasta Spot
A tape measure zips across a floor plan, and at the single word “property tour,” the plan spins and pops up into a neighborhood Italian restaurant. The pepper shaker manager points out the window seat, the long table and the basket under the chair in real-estate-agent speak — “Great natural light,” “Roomy floor area,” “Storage included.” After the lights go out, at the end of the sound of waves, the real prime spot is revealed: the bar seat in front of the open kitchen — “Forget the ocean view, it's a kitchen view!” Noodles fly out of the pan like waves and land neatly on the plate.
