Before a Single Bowl Arrives
A finished celadon bowl dissolves back, as if rewinding, into a lump of clay in the same spot, then rises again on the wheel, has its foot trimmed, and passes through two firings to gain its celadon-green sheen. The camera stays fixed to the end; only the clay's form, color and light change in this refined, restrained still life. The top badge "Neighborhood Pottery Studio" and the bottom badge "What kind of bowl will my own hands make?" stay in the same place from start to finish.
