When You Open the Tent Door

The whole frame is the inside of a tent. Each time the brass zipper rasps open, a new scene appears in turn: a morning hill of palm trees × pink muhly, crushed-stone and deck sites, the sea seen from the herb garden, the gallery café, the campground at dusk, and the bonfire at night. When the door is closed at night, the bonfire casts spring herbs, summer-night wildflowers, autumn pink muhly and a winter puppy's shadow onto the door fabric.
