How One Print Gets Made
'Gonggan Risangchun,' carved in reverse into a woodblock on a wooden workbench, passes through the rollers and the press and comes out as a print that reads the right way round. From Lee Sang-chun, an avant-garde artist from Jung-gu, Daegu (materials), through the two rollers 'Rika' and 'Local Post' (process), to the press coming down on 2025.3.26 — flip the paper and it's the door of the real 26 Namsan-dong (finished print). Then the print edition numbers are pulled one sheet at a time as reasons to visit: 1/3 the Lee Sang-chun archive, 2/3 a curated exhibition and seminar asking about Daegu today, 3/3 a solo show by a citizen artist.
