Your Brain's Still in Its Pajamas
A phone flashes in the dark, a clay hand swipes — and a “FORBIDDEN” stamp slams down. Seen from above, phone light glows in 8 out of 10 beds (a U.S. survey), and the brain inside those heads is still in a nightcap with a snot bubble, in a state of “sleep inertia.” When a stimulating feed pours in, the “Focus” marbles scatter, and in the end it's the phone, not the brain, that puts on the nightcap and goes to sleep in, tucked into a drawer bed.
