A Day of Five Clicks

A Day of Five Clicks

Four ordinary ballpoint pens drop with a tap and snap together into one with a "Click!" On a notebook card on a tangerine stage, the pen changes color at each segment: black for the to-do list in the morning, red for deadline circles in mid-morning, blue for an idea lightbulb in the afternoon, and green to check off the morning list in the evening. Shadows turn like a sundial as the day goes by, and at night, with all four colors used up, a click of the clip — a hidden mechanical pencil slides out and draws a crescent moon.
