One Hanging Scroll, from the Waterside to the Stars
It begins with a single tent by a valley stream in the dawn mist, then climbs upward along a footpath within the scroll. The waterside spot of the first summer, the pine forest of the following spring, that autumn's glamping, and the highest hilltop stargazing spot of today are painted one after another as if ink were bleeding across the paper, while a red seal stamp marks each period. What remains is a scene of stars blooming one by one over a hill with its lights turned low.
