Until the Sea Gets Framed

A clay tangerine family pops down onto the windowsill in front of the real studio window (palm trees, the Aewol sea). Once they're shown how to shoot and the staff steps aside, there's an awkward cricket-chirping silence, then a 20-minute parade of clicks. “Is this sea a backdrop?” — the lights go out, the camera pulls back, and it's a real window. Lighting suited to the day whether it's cloudy or raining, and about an hour from picking and retouching to the frame.
