Before the Songhwa Table Arrives

After first showing the finished table, we follow a single golden grain of pine pollen (songhwa) that falls from an ink pine branch on hanji, passing dasik and tea, Gangneung ingredients, the Myeongju-dong alley, wooden stairs, and the second-floor window. At last, on the small table of the maru where you take off your shoes and sit, that single grain settles as the full stop of “Songhwa, one bite.”
