The Order in Which the Studio Wakes

It opens with a blade of light cutting across the reformer relief in the pre-dawn dark. As the light shifts from lavender to honey gold, the window, the mat and the springs wake in turn. A window that lets in light, one person at a time, starting from the basics — the three reasons are quietly set in serif numerals, and at the end the window light settles on an empty mat: "you." The ending reads "This week, unroll your first mat."
