An Hour Between the Blinds

Backlit closed blinds open to reveal the white walls of “a small bookstore in southern Jeju.” The scenes change only with a single transition of the blinds closing and opening, passing through afternoon light by the window, small independent publications, LABAS, a self-made travel photo book, and bookmarks with Jeju dialect typed on a typewriter, until they reach the window glass in the late afternoon.
