A video gets made fast when its flow is settled before anyone presses record — what shows at which second, where a caption appears, which sound plays. Drawn cut by cut, that is a storyboard. Somssii now makes short-form storyboards: write one line about what you want to shoot and get a shooting storyboard as a PDF.
What is in the PDF
- Page 1, overview — the title and concept line, your request, the terms (length, aspect ratio, cuts, scenes), a timeline showing each scene's length (the key scene in red) and the story arc in one line.
- Scene pages — camera (framing and movement), action, captions, sound and notes for every scene, with timecodes (0:00–0:02.5).
- Cut sketches — 1–3 per scene, each carrying the shot, cut number, time and that cut's caption (the emphasised word in red).
The sample above is a 15-second storyboard made from one Korean line asking for a neighbourhood bakery's new salt-bread short that opens on the sound of fresh bread and ends with a visit to the shop. Download the PDF from the result page, or the ZIP for every page and cut as separate images.
How to make one
- Open Create a storyboard and describe the video in one line.
- Pick the length (15, 30 or 60 seconds) and aspect ratio (vertical 9:16, horizontal 16:9, square 1:1). The shop or brand name, tone or must-have scenes and a reference photo are optional.
- It is usually ready in 5–10 minutes and keeps going if you close the window. We email you when it is done.
What it costs
It depends on the length — 15 sec (12 cuts) 30 credits, 30 sec (18 cuts) 50 credits, 60 sec (27 cuts) 90 credits. A credit costs at most ₩100 (bigger packs are cheaper), so a 15-second storyboard is at most ₩3,000. A hand-drawn 15-second ad storyboard from a freelance marketplace usually costs ₩70,000–300,000 (public prices on Kmong and Soomgo, October 2026). You can try one 15-second storyboard free with the 30 credits you get at sign-up.
If a cut cannot be drawn, that frame is left blank in the PDF and its share of credits comes back; if no cut can be drawn, you get everything back.
After the storyboard
Shoot it yourself or hand it to whoever shoots and edits. If you need a finished video without shooting, Somssii Shorts makes a vertical video with captions, music and narration from one line.
